How cool is this place?! Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.
The evolution of mid-20th century Cadillacs that lie half-burned in the ground. Visitors are allowed to contribute to the art pieces by painting on vehicles, which were immportalized in Bruce Springsteen’s “Cadillac Ranch,” a macabre story of death and dying told through this Route 66 landmark.
Created in 1974 by Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels, who were all part of an art group called “Ant Farm.”

I was lucky enough to travel to so many parts of California during my 9-day vacation there. I was visiting places all between San Francisco and Orange County, that’s about 8 hours from each other! The ride up to San Francisco was nice, beautiful mountain views and lots of land – which I love. We stayed most the time in Valencia, which is in LA county, a bit north of Hollywood. It was so nice there, a place I would move. Don’t mind some of the pictures, they’re of poor quality because I was taking them with my iPhone. 🙂
